My Favourite E-Resource site
I just love the information available online at the National Library's EResource website. http://www.nla.gov.au/app/eresources/
It is even worth joining the National Library to access even more of their resources online.

druginfo @ your library website
The Schoolies week button is now live on the druginfo website. This section only appears on the website once a year and contains links to safe partying info. Magnetic Island sounds good to me.
The Law Handbook 11th Edition
Just to let you know that we are still waiting on the new copies of The Law Handbook to replace the misprinted versions that we returned to the publisher.
There is still one of the older editions circulating in the non fiction section, which we will delete from the system as soon as the new versions are received. Currently there is no copy of The Law Handbook in the Find Legal Answers toolkit.

Australian Treasure Trove
Have you discovered this wonderful beta website from the National Library of Australia?
http://sbdsproto.nla.gov.au/
At first I was disappointed with my search results, until I ticked the "Available online only" button. Try searching for pictures of Kapooka and you will be amazed at how many you find. Only last week I had a request for photographs relating to Kapooka and I was disappointed with how few photographs we had available online relating to Kapooka. This site will definitely come in handy when answering some of our local history queries.

Wagga Council Minutes
Just to let you know that Council Minutes from 2003 onwards are available via the council website.
Council has a requirement to keep 30 years of minutes on site. These can be easily accessed by contacting Neil McDermott during office hours on extension 9250. He is happy to assist any members of the general public. A FOI release form is not required.
Minutes older than 30 years can be accessed via CSU Archives which is located in the Blakemore Building on South Campus, open Mon - Fri 9 - 5. Phone: 6925 3666.
Whilst the library is not required to keep minutes, we do have a significant range of minutes from 1973 - 2000 located on the shelves behind stack. This collection is incomplete but may be accessed by library members and visitors to the library.

Property Ownership Searches
Apart from the Wagga Rates Books on microfilm here are some useful links for anyone wanting to know previous owners of a particular property in NSW. http://www.lands.nsw.gov.au/about_us/faqs/historical_research_questions
Some searching can be done online via the website below but it is really only useful to find out current owners. Payment must be made using Mastercard or Visa prior to the information being delivered. There are sample documents on the left hand side of the screen to assist clients in seslecting which document they need to order.
